Yes, with care. Our 18K gold PVD and 14K gold-filled components are water-resistant and tarnish-resistant. Even water-resistant jewelry should be rinsed with fresh water and gently patted completely dry after exposure to saltwater, chlorine, soap, or minerals.

Pieces containing freshwater pearls, gemstones, shells, elastic, or other delicate components need extra care. Avoid prolonged soaking and prolonged exposure to chlorine or saltwater to keep them looking their best.

After wearing, gently wipe your jewelry with a clean, soft, dry cloth. After wearing your jewelry in the pool or ocean, rinse it with fresh water. If additional cleaning is needed, use a clean, soft cloth lightly dampened with fresh water. Gently pat the entire piece completely dry.

Once your jewelry is clean and completely dry, gently buff the gold with your included Charlotte’s Cove care cloth. Use a clean, soft cloth for freshwater pearls, gemstones, and delicate surfaces.

Do not use abrasive polishing products, harsh chemical cleaners, or ultrasonic cleaning devices. Store each piece fully dry in a cool, dry place. You’ll find the full four-step instructions above.

Store jewelry separately in a cool, dry place. Fasten necklaces and bracelets before storing them to help prevent tangling, and keep delicate surfaces from rubbing against other pieces.

18K gold PVD is a gold-colored finish applied through a physical vapor deposition process. This process creates a durable, tarnish-resistant finish that generally offers greater resistance to everyday wear than traditional gold plating.

Although 18K gold PVD is made for durability, no jewelry finish is indestructible. Avoid prolonged exposure to chlorine, harsh chemicals, perfumes, lotions, and cleaning products to help preserve its color and finish.

14K gold-filled jewelry is made by bonding a substantial layer of 14K gold to a durable base metal using heat and pressure. It contains significantly more gold than traditional gold-plated jewelry and can retain its beauty for years with thoughtful care.

To protect its finish, avoid prolonged exposure to chlorine, saltwater, harsh chemicals, perfumes, lotions, and cleaning products. Gently wipe it after wearing and store it in a dry place.

She was determined to find materials that allowed her to enjoy beautiful jewelry without sacrificing comfort.
