There is a story behind The Hibiscus Club that begins long before Charlotte's Cove.
Long before jewelry.
Long before I ever imagined creating collections inspired by tropical blooms and ocean treasures.
It begins with a little girl who was obsessed with flowers.
Not just any flowers.
Hibiscus flowers.
Plumerias.
Birds of paradise.
The colorful blooms that looked like they belonged somewhere magical.
The kind of flowers that felt like sunshine.
As a child, I was endlessly drawn to color. I loved rainbows, tropical prints, seashells, and anything that felt bright, joyful, and full of wonder. While other kids were following trends, I was filling sketchbooks with flowers and dreaming about island escapes I had never even visited.

Looking back now, I realize those things weren't simply interests.
They were clues.
Little pieces of who I was becoming.
For much of my life, I felt different.
I've always felt things deeply.
I've always been drawn to beauty in places others might overlook.
I've never wanted to follow the crowd.
If you've been here for a while, you've probably heard me say it before:
I refuse to be cookie cutter.
At the time, though, being different didn't always feel like a gift.
Sometimes it felt easier to hide the things that made me unique than to embrace them.
But those flowers never left.
In fact, they kept finding their way back to me.
Today, my own little oasis is filled with plumerias, hibiscus, and tropical blooms. I still stop to admire each new flower that appears. I still find myself completely captivated by the way a bud slowly unfolds into something beautiful.

Because flowers have taught me something.
They don't rush.
They don't compare.
They don't question whether they're blooming the "right" way.
They simply become what they were created to be.
And I think there's something incredibly beautiful about that.
The Hibiscus Club was born from this idea.
A celebration of growth, beauty, and becoming.
A reminder to honor the things that make each of us uniquely ourselves.
But there is another layer to this story.
One that has lived quietly in my heart for years.
Hawaii.
Long before I ever visited, I was captivated by the islands. It wasn't just the vibrant flowers or the turquoise water that drew me in. It was what I've come to understand as the spirit of aloha, the deep respect for the land, and the way nature seems to be woven into everyday life. I found myself collecting books, listening to Hawaiian music, and getting lost in photographs, imagining what it would feel like to stand between the mountains and the sea.
And then, one day, I finally did.

The first time I visited, something quietly clicked. It felt familiar in a way I can't fully explain, as though a place I had dreamed about for years had somehow been waiting for me. I never wanted to leave.
As I've grown older, that admiration has only deepened into respect.
Because Hawaii is more than a beautiful destination.
It is a sacred place.
A place shaped by generations of people who deeply love and care for the land.
A place where nature is not simply admired but honored.
That perspective has influenced me more than I can explain.
The idea that beauty isn't something to consume.
It's something to appreciate.
Something to protect.
Something to be grateful for.
That spirit lives at the heart of this collection.
Years later, when I began designing The Hibiscus Club, I realized I wasn't simply creating jewelry. I was weaving together the things that have shaped me for as long as I can remember; my love of tropical flowers, my fascination with Hawaii, my appreciation for slow, intentional living, and my belief that beauty is something to notice, not rush.
I imagined a hidden island retreat tucked away beyond the sea.
Lush tropical gardens.
Flowers swaying in the breeze.
Pearls glistening in the sunlight.
Treasures gathered along the shoreline.
A place where beauty unfolds naturally and life slows down long enough to notice it.
A place where wonder still exists.
In my mind, The Hibiscus Club exists somewhere between memory and imagination; a garden where hibiscus bloom year-round, salty air drifts through open windows, pearls catch the morning light, and every shell collected along the shore feels like a tiny treasure waiting to be discovered.
Perhaps that's why rainbows found their way into this collection too.
I've always loved rainbows.
Even now, if one appears in the sky, I stop whatever I'm doing to admire it.
As a child, I loved them because they felt magical.
As an adult, I love them because they remind me of something deeper.
A promise.
A reminder that beauty can appear after the storm.
A reminder to keep looking up.
The Hibiscus Club is filled with these symbols.
Flowers.
Pearls.
Shells.
Rainbows.
Each one carrying a small piece of the story.
But at its heart, this collection isn't simply about tropical flowers or island escapes.
It's about embracing the things that make you who you are.
It's about trusting your own path.
It's about blooming in your own time.
It's about remembering that some of the most beautiful things in life aren't rushed.
They unfold exactly as they're meant to.
Just like every flower in the garden.
My hope is that whenever you wear a piece from The Hibiscus Club, it reminds you to slow down, embrace what makes you unique, and trust that the most beautiful things in life unfold in their own time.
If this story speaks to you, I'd love to invite you to explore The Hibiscus Club; a collection inspired by tropical blooms, hidden treasures, and the beauty of becoming.
